Project Simple

Introducing Marketing Teams – because the Product journey doesn’t end at “Done.”

For most companies, the product journey officially ends when the dev team closes their final ticket. But in reality, that’s where another chapter begins.

Launches don’t magically market themselves. There’s messaging to craft, campaigns to run, content to produce, and timing to align. And, most of that happens outside the engineering systems!

That disconnect is exactly what we set out to fix.

Today, we’re excited to announce that Project Simple now supports Marketing Teams as a native team type.

Our “out of the box” philosophy doesn’t just apply to engineering. It applies to the whole product box – from concept to customer.

One Model. Different Disciplines. Same Level of Clarity.

Marketing teams often operate in even more chaos than development due to narrow area of specializations. There are lots of moving parts, creative reviews, content calendars, and campaigns all living in separate tools.

Meanwhile, engineering has been using structured processes, metrics, and retrospectives for years.

We asked a simple question: Why can’t marketing have the same level of visibility, analytics, and continuous improvement?

Now they can.

Marketing Teams in Project Simple follow the same core process model as engineering that consist of:

Very few marketing teams actually understand how they work.

Now, they can see it clearly – just like their engineering counterparts. The result is alignment, accountability, and shared visibility across all teams.

Marketing Team Analytics

Project Simple brings the same level of measurement that engineering teams have – but applied to creative work.

That means Marketing can finally see:

Its not about micromanagement. Its about autonomy and continuous improvement. When teams see how they really function, they improve naturally.

The Bigger Picture

Our vision has always been to make software and product delivery truly out of the box – not just for developers, but for every team contributing to the entire product experience.

Engineering, Product, Design, and now Marketing – all working in one unified model with shared metrics, shared visibility, and shared understanding of what drives success.

So now, with Marketing Teams working along side of the Engineering Teams, Product has a much improved holistic view of progress towards the Goals with Marketing Teams’ work fully integrated into the delivery timeline.

This also means that the next time someone has a question “When are we going to be done?” The Milestone view will display forecasting for the entire Product workflow from ideation and decomposition to completion of the development work and release of all marketing assets and campaigns.

Because the honest reality is that product isn’t truly delivered until it reaches your customers, and that part belongs to Marketing.

What’s Next

Marketing Teams are the first step in expanding our “Continuous Delivery” mindset beyond engineering. Design, Support, and Operations are next each with tailored workflows, analytics, and insights built into the same transparent model.

The future of delivery isn’t siloed. It’s connected. And with Project Simple, it’s finally measurable.

We’re here to solve the biggest pains in Product and Software Development that have been left ignored by the current project management systems.

Because Jira and others were built to track work. But Project Simple was built to understand it – exposing friction, aligning effort, and substituting complexity with simplicity.
