Project Simple

Built to run the whole lifecycle — goals, delivery, quality and forecasting — for every team on the project, out of the box.

The short version

Different tools for different jobs. Here’s the honest answer.

Choose Wrike if…

most of your work is marketing, PMO or operational projects, and software delivery is a small part of the picture.

Choose Project Simple if…

building software is the core of what you do and you want engineering, QA, DevOps, design and marketing on one delivery model.

Teams switch when…

engineering teams end up running their real process somewhere else, and leaders lose the single view of delivery.

Where Wrike shines

  • Mature work management for marketing, PMO and operations
  • Strong Gantt, request intake and resource management
  • AI agents generally available since February 2026, governed by admins

Where teams hit a wall

  • Not built around software delivery — agile features are generic
  • Time tracking only on Business plan and up
  • Quality, estimation and team-health rituals aren’t part of the model
  • More configuration needed to fit engineering

FAQ

Questions teams ask before switching

Can our marketing team keep working alongside engineering?

Yes. Project Simple’s Marketing Teams module tracks product marketing work inside the same Product Goals, so launches and delivery stay in one view.

How does AI pricing work?

We don’t charge per token or per AI action. AI capabilities come with the Enterprise plan, and you connect your own provider’s API keys — OpenAI, Anthropic or another — and pay them directly.

Can Project Simple run in our own environment?

Yes. Choose an isolated multi-tenant setup, a dedicated instance in your own AWS or GCP account, or an on-prem deployment in your private cloud or data center.
